Hey ladies! Now more than ever we need to garden. Have you seen the prices of produce? Oh my!
So I propose that if you do not have a garden this year that you hook up with a friend who does and help her can/freeze her produce if she will give you some of her harvest. And start preparing this year for your garden next year!
Get you a Ball canning book and read through it and decide what you want to put up for your family and then study gardening books to see when and how those plants should be placed in your garden.
Ladies it is up to us to get our families through this tough economic time. We have to be creative, we have to work hard, we have to go back to the old days and see what worked then...and do it now. Learn from our ancestors.....chances are if they did it then....we need to be doing it now.
So get out that hoe and get to gardening!
